Privacy Policy for Project Tracker

Project Tracker ("the app") is published by Feix Engineering ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app.

Short version

The app collects nothing. Everything you track stays on your device. We have no servers, no accounts and no way to see your data.

What the app stores on your device

The app stores the following locally, in a database on your device:

• Projects you create (name, color, icon, order)
• Time entries (start time, end time, duration, optional notes)
• App settings (for example the minimum entry duration, and whether Pro is unlocked)

This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking technologies and no crash reporting. It does not send your data to us or to any third party. It does not require an internet connection to work (only buying Pro goes through the store, which needs one).

In-app purchase

The app is free to use. Only one feature costs money: exporting PDF reports requires Project Tracker Pro, a one-time in-app purchase. Tracking, projects, and JSON backup and restore stay free without it.

The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play (or, on iPhone, the App Store) under their own terms and privacy policies. For this, the app includes Google's Play Billing component, which communicates with Google Play to process purchases. We never receive your payment details. To check whether Pro is unlocked, the app asks the store on your device and remembers the answer locally. It does not send purchase information to us or to any server of ours. Google provides us with the usual sales reports for purchases made through Google Play.

Exporting and sharing

You can export your data yourself:

• PDF reports of a selected period (requires Pro)
• JSON backups of all projects and time entries (free)

These files are created on your device. When you share or save one, it goes wherever you send it, and what happens to it then is governed by the app or service you chose (for example your email or cloud storage provider). We never receive a copy.

Permissions

• Notifications: used only to show an ongoing notification while a timer is running, so you can see and stop tracking from the status bar.
• File access: used only when you pick a backup file to restore, or save an exported report.

Deleting your data

Deleting a project deletes its time entries. Uninstalling the app removes all its data from your device. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete and no request for us to process.

This website

This page is served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web host, it records standard technical request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for visitors to this site. That applies to this website only. It is unrelated to the app, which contacts no server of ours.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a future version of the app collects any data, we will say so here before that version is released.
